When we moved to LA, we soon moved into an “APARTMENT BUILDING”. I had never lived in an “APARTMENT BUILDING” before. But basically it is a very large house. There are lots of doors but the difference is we only go in one door. Sometimes we visit our friend Sam who lives here too and we go in his door too.
But I am always on my guard here! It is very alarming to go beyond our door because you never know who will be in the “APARTMENT BUILDING”. There are lots of dogs here too that try to get on the elevator with us. This is very frightening because who knows what would happen to us if we were on the elevator with another dog! So I bark really loudly so that they decide to not get on the elevator. This technique is 9/10 effective. We have to take the elevator many times in a day because there’s no yard here. Because I live in an “APARTMENT BUILDING”, I take Katie for a lot of walks.
Sometimes Katie lets me go to the roof and run laps even though there is a leash rule and she has gotten scolded by the master of “APARTMENT BUILDING” before for this. It makes me sad when Katie gets scolded. She always gets grumpy and sad when it happens and then the fun is over.
I love Katie but why does she make me do this?
Everything is itchy. All the time. Sometimes in the night I get itchy in the middle of the night. I like to get on the bed to scratch and shake just so that I’m not alone in my misery. Normally someone wakes up to be a part of my pain.. which leads to a pill being shoved down my throat… which leads to being consoled with treat and being told I’m a good boy. So allergies are maybe ok.
Sometimes when I want to play and no one wants to play with me, I play with the ball. Alone. It’s easy to roll it for myself and run after it. Additionally Katie and Homer often stop what they are doing to “ooo” and “aww” at me. I’m pretty impressive.
Yesterday we went hiking!
Ever since we moved to Los Angeles, this is something we do all the time. This is probably my most favorite ever.
I don’t have to walk on the leash and there are lots of other people and dogs and we all just walk! We walk on a path! We walk on a path in nature! That’s what we do!
I feel like my inner wolf really shines in this environemnt. I mark our path so we don’t get lost. I lead the way to spot any danger ahead of time. I’m very brave.
The “TRASH” is where Katie and Homer put all the best parts of a meal. Like the extra chickens parts. I learned from a young age not to dump over the trash and eat it when anyone is looking. Everyone starts yelling. The attempt must be discreet. So I plan it very carefully. When Katie and Homer both leave me alone in the house, I pretend to be sad, per usual. Then I don’t immediately get into the “TRASH”, thats an amateur move. I lay on the couch in my normal spot, in case they are coming straight back. After I lay there for a bit and it seems like they will be gone for an extended period of time, I make my move. Sometimes theres more food in the trash than I can eat at one time. So I hide parts of the “TRASH” all over the place where Katie and Homer won’t expect to look. Good spots are under the couch, in the bed, behind cushion, and under the bookshelf. Katie and Homer are always mad when they get back and find out that I got in the “TRASH”, but what’s done is done.
I got a little worried today because Katie started pulling out a bunch of clothes. Normally this means “SUITCASE”. But there was no “SUITCASE”. She told Homer it was time to put away winter clothes. And then everyones sweaters went into a box. I was sad because I love my sweaters. I wonder if I will ever see my sweaters again.
